Helping others with their finances was first rooted in my family and my community. Before I can describe myself as anything else, I must share that I am a daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, partner and best friend. It is through those identities that I started to pursue my professional work in the financial services industry.
Growing up the daughter and granddaughter of migrant farm workers, I learned the value of hard work. But I also learned that money cannot multiply and extend across multiple generations without the right strategies which come through education and joining communities that foster this type of growth. I am the first in my family to build generational wealth, so I value financial education and helping others find information and solutions they can trust. I believe in breaking down financial concepts so they are inclusive and accessible to as many people as possible.
On my own journey, I have learned that the most powerful tool for helping anyone get ahead in life is education and someone who is willing to invest time learning about their goals to help them create a blueprint. I am a firm believer (and proof) that with the right education and blueprint, we can break free from the poverty cycle and achieve greater things as long as we are willing to take action.
My passion is to share practical financial information and strategies with people, regardless of where they are in life, so they can begin their journey where they are. I am currently living out that passion as a licensed financial professional with Legacy Company and Mortgage Free Life. There I help families with retirement planning, financial strategies for real estate and building legacy through trusts and life insurance. We believe in no family being left behind.
With Mortgage Free Life, I help clients pay off their house in an average of 5 years, save an average of $100,000 in interest, and create a retirement income.
In addition to my career in financial services, I have experience working in the technology field as a data and business intelligence analyst for a major California university. During the span of that career, I was a member of several diversity committees to bring inclusion and equity to data and technology projects. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Digital Media, and continuing education in computer programming, analytics and financial services.
I am grateful to have had people in my life help me along the way, and it is an honor to serve others in that capacity. To connect, reach out here. I look forward to building together.
